With a massive increase in demand for food supplies, Abbey Logistics are working round the clock to keep food manufacturing sites stocked with key ingredients to ensure the UK’s food supply chain continues uninterrupted.

We have seen an rise in deliveries for flour, sugar, oils and chocolate, all key ingredients for thousands of different food products we all rely upon. We are extremely proud of our driver team, planners, on site staff, workshop and washbay operatives for the commitment they’ve shown at such a challenging time, and the speed at which they have adapted to new working practices, required to fight the spread of COVID-19.

Special recognition is needed for our colleagues that need to be on-site or out on the road. The level of professionalism on display from the team to continue operating to the highest standards has been fantastic and we thank them for their commitment and determination to continue working, while doing everything they can to halt the spread of COVID-19 and protect everyone around them.

All our operations continue to function as business as usual with changes being made behind the scenes to mitigate risks. We can still be reached on the same numbers and have capacity in our fleet to cope with additional demand.
