Abbey Shortlisted for Three Motor Transport Awards!

The famous Motor Transport Awards will be held in September and promises to be an amazing occasion as the industry comes together to celebrate achievements over the past year.
Celebrating its 35th year as the benchmark for excellence among UK road transport fleet operators, vehicle manufacturers and other sector specialists, this year’s event will be something special.
Everyone at Abbey is thrilled to hear that we have been shortlisted for three awards this year, and we are especially proud that two of these nominations are for collaborative work with our customers, and the third is the big one…..HAULIER OF THE YEAR! If we are successful this year, we will be the only company to have ever collected this award three times.
The role logistics and transport play in keeping our economy moving, innovating and raising standards are rightly celebrated and rewarded at the Motor Transport Awards and we are delighted that the work our teams do across the group has been recognised by our peers.
The awards we have been shortlisted for are:
Haulier of the Year
Due to our outstanding performance during the pandemic, Abbey is shortlisted for the most coveted award of them all and the ultimate mark of excellence in road freight transport. If successful, Abbey would become the first company ever to win the award three times.
The Partnership Award
Our work with Tarmac in Scotland has been shortlisted for an award due to the way in which both companies teams have worked in partnership to deliver excellent service and safety levels and overcome challenges together on the contract.
Team of the Year
This nomination relates to the way in which the Abbey and ADM teams have worked together in London to help improve service levels and collaboration. ADM is a long-standing customer of Abbey’s but this year’s performance stands out due to the excellent teamwork which has seen the two companies come together as one collaborative unit for the benefit of ADM’s customers.
Abbey is up against some amazing companies who have all achieved great things this year. Good luck to all of the finalists and see you all in September at the event.
