Abbey Logistics Group, the UK’s largest provider of bulk food transport services, has announced two new appointments to strengthen its senior team. Respected logistics industry expert Andrew Palmer has joined the group as non-executive director, and experienced marketing professional Michael Fox will take up the role of Group Marketing Manager.
Andrew has enjoyed a distinguished career which has seen him lead a number of international transport and logistics companies through extended periods of growth. He was Managing Director at Bibby Distribution, and DTS Logistics before joining Suttons Group where he successfully led the company into new markets, significantly growing the business and its portfolio of customers.
Michael Fox has worked within business to business marketing and communications for the past ten years, most recently in the supply chain sector. He will take responsibility for the planning, management and execution of Abbey’s marketing strategies, working closely with the company’s commercial teams, external suppliers and expanding client base.

In addition to these latest appointments, Abbey has appointed a Technical Director which they will announce full details of shortly. Furthermore, the company is seeking an experienced Operations Director for its North West road tanker activities. The Operations Director role will provide additional strength and depth to an already highly qualified senior management team, reinforcing the company’s objective of providing the best possible service to its customers.
